Moir Stakes 2013 Nominations Feature Buffering

Nominations have been announced for the Group 1 Moir Stakes, which is set to run at Moonee Valley Racecourse this Friday September 27, 2013.

A total of 12 horses have been nominated for the 2013 Moir Stakes, includingBuffering.

Buffering has won 12 of his 34 race starts and has earned more than $2.37 million in prize money during his horse racing career.

The six-year-old will be having his first start back for the spring racing carnival and looking to win his very first Group 1 in the 2013 Moir Stakes.

Buffering has managed to win multiple races at Group level, however, the Group 1 races has eluded him until now.

The Mossman gelding is trained at Eagle Farm in Brisbane by Robert Heathcote and will be travelling down to Melbourne for his spring campaign.

His most recent result was a second placing behind Linton in the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap on June 8, 2013.

Also included in the 2013 Moir Stakes nominations is Epaulette.

Epualette has won five of his 12 race starts and has earned more than $1.69 million in prize money during his career.

The Commands gelding will also be having his first start of the spring in the 2013 Moir Stakes after a tenth placing in the Stradbroke in June.

Bel Sprinter and Red Tracer are also included in the 2013 Moir Stakes nominations.
