Petits Filous is yet to taste anything but success through her short racing career so far, and while facing her biggest test to date in the 2015 Moir Stakes, remains clear $2.20 favourite with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Fontiton ($4.60) and 2014 champion Buffering ($7.50).

Will Petits Filous justify her clear favouritism and win the 2015 Moir Stakes or will one of her many talented rivals find the line in the clear?

Ball Of Muscle ($8.50)

Ball Of Muscle is yet to finish outside the first three in fifteen career starts, is arguably the only 1000m specialist in the 2015 Moir Stakes field and will be very hard to run down at Moonee Valley third-up. Returning this year for second in the 3AW Community Raceday Handicap (1000m) on April 11th, the Dubawi gelding ran a close second to Srikandi in the Group 2 Victory Stakes (1200m) before taking out the talent-rich Group 2 QTC Cup (1200m) on May 30th. Having placed third in the Group 3 Concorde Stakes (1000m) and second in the Group 2 The Shorts (1100m) this time, Ball Of Muscle appears primed for a Group 1 title on Friday, particularly after drawing the rails.

Flamberge ($10)

Flamberge has returned to racing in career-best form this year, has condition around some of the world’s leading sprinters and will also be very hard to beat in the 2015 Moir Stakes. Returning this year for a close second behind Chautauqua in the Group 2 Rubiton Stakes (1100m), Flamberge progressed to third in the Listed Bob Hoysted Handicap (1000m), and while failing to make anything of an impact in the Group 1 The Galaxy (1100m), responded in the best way possible when beating a handy field to the line in the Group 1 The Goodwood (1200m). Having run a close second over course and distance in the Group 2 McEwen Stakes first-up this time, the Exceed And Excel gelding will need some luck from barrier 12.

Le Bonsir ($34)

Moonee Valley specialist Le Bonsir’s experience is sure to count for a lot in the 2015 Moir Stakes, and the gelding is offered a great chance of finding a position off pace from barrier 8. Posting nine wins and a further fourteen minors through 38 career starts, the Choisir gelding returned from a brief spell for third in the Group 3 Aurie’s Star Handicap (1200m) on August 8th; returning to the winner’s circle in the Listed Carlyon Stakes (1000m) at Moonee Valley last time out.
